Turn in Concepts crossmember bushings. It's called "Cherry Blossom Red" not pink!

Hey!... Welcome to #Modmonday! This week we will feature the STi's Crossmember bushings made by @Turninconcepts. These were installed over 5 years ago and after installing the trans mount and they still look great like the day they were installed.

Older cars are choked full of old rubber and to return them to their showroom splendor you start at one end of the car and head towards the other end. When these were purchased I was trying to effectively enhance the STi's auto-x capabilities while maintaining its daily driver qualities. After seeing the state of the crossmember bushings, I quickly ordered these polyurethane cherry blossom red units from Turn in Concepts.

The stock bushings are extremely soft and more like slightly chewed bubblegum than an actual bushing. The connection between the car/unibody and transmission is through these. With softer bushings they can allow the transmission to roll side to side and even back forth during shifts.

Installing these gives the shifter a solid feel that makes shifting infectious. Downshifts no longer buck the driveline, now they feel so smooth. A slight amount of noise and vibration can be felt through the shift knob. A unique feature to the TiC bushings is the fact that they fit together like a puzzle which makes incorrect installation impossible.

Install is easy enough with just 6 bolts to be removed to install. Which is one of the steps in the trans mount. These run about half the price of the Group N version and come in the cherry blossom red! In synopsis I think of these as a puzzle piece necessary to removing the slop from the drivetrain which gives greater response and truly excellent acceleration feel. Also they look like they might actually do something unlike the factory units.
