Perrin Afta Maf hose. Feeding that hungry turbo!

Hey!... Welcome to this week's #modmonday! Featuring @Perrin_performance's Afta maf inlet for 02-07 Wrx/STi. This was installed over a year ago with no problems as of today.

When you start looking around your engine bay you wonder what Subaru was thinking with the intake tube. Are the pleats for flexibility or noise suppression..? Doesn't appear to be a performance minded piece if you ask me. After sprucing up the engine bay it can even be quite the eye sore. These thoughts lead me to replacing it with the Perrin unit.

It is noted that the stock intake system is well designed and can easily flow up to 400 Hp. But why make everything work much harder than it needs to..? That is where the Perrin Afta Maf hose comes in with it's wider and smoother flow characteristics. You can also color coordinate with your turbo inlet to give the intake a bit more completed look.

Afta maf hose, what in a name? It is located right behind the MAF sensor which means all the air molecules have been accounted for and this hose should have no ill effects on your tune. It replaces the factory rubber unit that is like any rubber item under the hood and prone to degradation overtime due to heat cycles. Construction of the hose is a 5 ply silicone similar to it's turbo inlet brethren and should last a lifetime.

Simple but effective.

Installation is a breeze with just two clamps needing removal from the stock unit. Then taking the old stocker out and putting the new freshness in. I feel like is a tad bit more turbo noise during spool up which is always a bonus!
