Grimmspeed PnP manifolds with X-pipe. Factory fitment and quicker spool, what else could you ask for!
Hey!... Welcome to #modmonday! Where I give you my insight and info on a modification on my Subarus. This week we will look at the Grimmspeed PnP manifolds with X-pipe that is installed on the Forester after spending many years on the STi.
It has been a year of sprucing up the Forester and the Grimmspeed PnP manifolds were apart of that. These were originally ran on the STi but it was time for a change and I enjoyed them so much I knew they needed to find a home on the Forester.
With the manifolds being factory modified and the X-pipe being a direct factory replacement, fitment is spot on without any issues or concerns. I opted for ceramic coating to help keep the heat in the pipes instead of heat soaking engine, after 7 years of use it is a bit weather but still holding up.
With great fitment and durability, what else do they bring to the table? How about a decreased spool time and perkier turbo. They shine in your daily driver in stop and go traffic or on the auto-x course pulling you out of a corner. These are what kept them in the Sti and brought them to the Forester for me.
The only downside about these GS PnP manifolds is they are no longer offered. You can either search for a used set of manifolds are take out your trusty die grinder and do your best. They do still offer the X-pipe which is a major improvement over the factory piece and will help spool that turbo quicker.
If you are looking to maintain your boxer rumble and improve your exhaust flow these are a great option. These are harder to attain due the manifold PnP no longer being option, but the X-pipe are still available to help any factory manifolds you would like to bolt them onto.
