A farewell to Loyale adjustable endlinks. Thanks for the memories.

Hey!... Welcome to #modmonday, this week's we will be saying farewell to the Loyale Fab rear adjustable endlinks that have resided on the Forester for the last year.

After lifting my Forester 2"s I found the factory rear endlinks putting additional stress on the lateral links and swaybar. After hearing a few good things about these and the low price I figured I would give them a try.

First day installed, I had high hopes for these but a bit of fear of the open bearing style.

The links give a wide range of adjust ability over the factory units. At 4"s of extension this allowed the sway bar to be free of tension at full suspension droop. Which is great for suspension travel, but I soon found the sway bar would flip and almost always be found a non factory position, facing backwards.

This was an often sight with these links, the sway bar would end up in this position. Note the corrosion too.

The pivoting bushing is a heim joint to allow for twisting. Which is great unless you live in or around the rust belt. Salt and snow do a number to these and after two winters these were set to permanent squeak mode. Even after countless sprays of dry graphite lube, they were done for.

The right rear link started to knock a bit ago, showing that the bearing had become worn and loose. And with that they have been replaced with Karboy aluminum units. These may work in a less winter intensive areas but for my daily driven Forester they just weren't the right piece for the puzzle.

The new comer and the outgoing parts.
